

A good amount of Limestone Outcrops can be found on the seabed, with Shale Outcrops occasionally located on the walls and ceiling of the corridor. It is mainly populated by Crabsquids, with strange rock structures covered by Pyrocoral growing on the sides. You can reach the Mountain Island at any point in your playthrough, though you’ll eventually get there as part of the critical path. Many of the biomes on the Subnautica map have diamonds, but the best (and safest) place to find them is the Mountain Island. Bring your Seatruck down as deep as it will go, watching out for predators, make sure you have the Seaglide, Rebreather and High Capacity Oxygen Tank, and take this route. When you get close to the signal, you’ll see it’s marked about 170 meters down with no clear direction of where to go next.
